The life of a photographer often involves a lot of running around and long hours when all factors are considered. Between the time it takes to travel, load and unload gear, cram fast food down our throats, avoid swinging the cameras into things like the plush faces of small children running about, and the actual photographing itself, it becomes a great deal to sort through. There's also the hours of editing during post-production to be considered as well. Although wild and fun as it is, It's pretty easy to become tired by the end of everything. Suddenly it's not so hard to have the utmost appreciation for the people and things that help you get through those tougher days.
My long time friend, Paul Halvorsen is one of those "let me help you get through your day" kind of fellas and has recently launched an amazing coffee venture under the moniker of Story Coffee Co. in the rapidly growing town of Livermore, California. Having an extensive resume in specialty coffee, Paul and the Story crew stand among some of the few and the proud in an area where to truly do coffee right, so to speak, is difficult to find without driving at least 20 miles.
Serving Verve Coffee, a nationally acclaimed roaster based in Santa Cruz, CA, there's not a lot left for me to desire when it comes to a Story Coffee Co. experience. There are even a few options to choose from for those who may not be so keen into journeying forward into the darkness of coffee quite yet. Paul does an amazing job of curating creative and seasonal drinks such as the Horchata Latte, or Sweet Lattes to accommodate those who are checking things out while still holding true to timeless cafe classics such as the cappuccino, black drip, or the mocha (made with TCHO chocolate.) Support a local business, pick up a drink or pastry next time you're in town, your taste buds will love you. You're welcome.
